CPN (Maoist Centre) decides for holding local election
Kathmandu- A meeting of the ruling CPN (Maoist Centre) central office held at party chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s private residence in Lazimpat has decided to go for local elections.
Party spokesperson Pampha Bhusal shared that the meeting concluded to hold elections even to implement the constitution. She further informed that the meeting held discussions on contemporary political development and agitation occurred in different parts of the country against the constitution amendment bill.
PM Dahal, in the meeting, briefed that the government was preparing to announce the date for local elections soon. He further informed that the government was holding talks with main opposition CPN (UML) and agitating Tarai based parties for local elections and constitution amendment as well.
Similarly, the meeting has decided to hold talks with all parties to forge consensus to pass the constitution amendment bill. RSS
