Kathmandu- Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said Nepal’s multi-identity feature was an important asset not only for the country, but for the international community.

In a message today on the occasion of Tamang Lhosar festival, Prime Minister Dahal said language, culture, costume, tradition and festivals carry characteristics that give an identity of the respective communities of Nepal and lauded the Tamang community for preserving and promoting their rich tradition and culture since ages.

Stating that inclusive federal democratic constitution was a result of the courageous struggle and sacrifice of the people, he said expanding the acceptability of the constitution and bringing it into practice was the need of the day. “Moving towards economic prosperity at the force of national unity of the various ethnicities, languages, religions and communities in the mountain, hills and tarai is the present need of the nation,” he added.
