UML leader Khanal laments communists forgetting ideals and morality

Kathmandu- CPN (UML) senior leader Jhalnath Khanal has expressed concern saying that Nepal’s communists have been forgetting the communist ideals, honesty and the politics based on morality.

Launching the memorial issue ‘Rapti Prabaha’, a magazine published by the Martyr Netralal ‘Abhagi’ Memorial Foundation in the capital today, leader Khanal said the present-day communists had a lot to learn from the life and works of the late Netralal.

JN KhanalHe described the late Netralal as a multi-dimensional leader who relentlessly fought for upholding the nation, nationality and people’s rights.

Netralal attained martyrdom 32 years ago at the age of 40. He was born in Dang and a popular philanthropist.

CPN (ML) leader CP Mainali and CPN (Maoist Revolutionary) leader Mohan Baidya described the late Netralal as an ideal leader of the country’s communist movement and a patriot at heart. Foundation chairman Prakash Jwala presided over the commemorative issue launching programme.

The government has provided Rs 5 million for the construction of the building of the Foundation at Chaulahi of Deukhuri in Dang district. RSS
